Great food, great service, great Ambiance (atmosphere) everyone nice is nice, Currys are spicy
I first discovered MyLahore on a visit to Bradford last year and found the food wonderful and the service excellent. I returned to Bradford again this week and went back for lunch. It is still great. It was quite busy for lunch, but I didn't have to wait especially long to get served. I ordered lamb handi on the bone with rice and nan and it was fantastic. And a mango lassi on the side was a tasty dessert. I learned last year that even though I usually enjoy very hot and spicy dishes, (Hunan, Mexican, etc.) "Very spicy" at this restaurant goes well beyond my normal experience. I ordered Medium Spicy this time and it was still hot enough to satisfy my love of heat. The staff were friendly and very attentive to match the good food. It's now going to be a definite stop on all future visits to the area.
Service was slow. I was seated upstairs at a small booth (I was dining alone), and the pacing of the meal wasn't slow just for me - another table was practically flagging down anyone that worked at the restaurant. Still, I enjoyed that they were playing dance music and that the décor was modern -- you see, I had some time to look around and observe these things all the more. And then the food came, and all was forgiven. I had the prawns masala, and it was, hands-down, the best Indian food I have ever had anywhere. My mind was blown! I ate so much - and still had a prawn left. I felt sad that I couldn't eat it all because it seemed like a shame to leave such good food on the plate. (What can I say? I'm an American.) I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. I might head up to Bradford (or Leeds, or wherever else they are) from London JUST to eat here. So so so good.
I was recommended to try this place out and I was blown away by it. The service was fab and the food is delicious. I alway thought that no one could compete with akbars but La hore can certainly can.
